headlight wires

I was wondering if anyone knows which wires are the ground, low beam, and high beam on my 800 rmk. There is a brown wire green wire and a yellow w/ a red stripe. I currently have my motor pulled out so i can't test it.

Hmm I would have to guess and say the brown? would be ground>? I'd just call your local dealer and get them to look at the wiring scematic in the back of the deep snow manual that they have sitting under the desk. Or even better just rip the light out and let that girl breathe (don't forget to install some pet screen where the light was) before running it. Our sleds LOVE this mod. Who needs the light anyhow?

I did take the headlight out but i was gonna wire in a small fog light instead.

Brown= ground
yel/red=hi
grn=low
yel=power
If you take out your headlight all together you will have to wire 2 voltage regulators in series or run a resitor or have something wired in that is a constant voltage draw. With out a draw the volt. reg. sucks all the power and can sometimes make you sled run bad becuase you have low voltage going to your ignition.

i have a similar prob i put a homemade light weight hood on and a single fog light on the bars. worked fine my prob is now i put my stock hood back on but didnt hook up lights ran it for a season but i want to hook up lights now and cant find any power on any of the wires
