Header wrap on exhaust pipe

Here's how I did mine has stayed in place pretty good.

Good job that looks great! Did you wrap the hole pipe and put the cover back on? The way you wrapped the y pipe is nice, how did you do it? I tried and couldn't figure it out. I also tried using those metal clamp and couldn't get them tight enough.

Treeclimber do you have any pics of the stuff you used?

I Just wrapped the y pipe and stopped the wrap at the aluminum I was lazy and didn't want to split the aluminum wrap. But with the wrap and turbo blanket and the diamond S hood You can hold your hand on the pipe and not get burned. This was my first turbo build so Its been a learning curve. With the intercooler I wanted the coldest temps I could get. I need to find out what the charge temps really are. The wrap was pretty I just got it wet used 2 pieces for the y pipe the wrap I used was thinker and had a larger weave pattern in it then had my kid hold it while I put the zip ties on. one thing I learned is they are sharp I cut my fingers a bunch. This build took all summer but it was fun.

wrap

This is the dei titanium wrap with LR technology. LR is pulverized lava rock & stranded into a fiber material & woven into a propietary weave. Prewetting & hi temp silicone coating isnt required. Just put on as is.
