Bro and I are taking our families to Leavenworth for the weekend. Haven't ridden at all around there. Where do we want to ride and where to stay away from?
We'll likely hit Blewitt one day but will likely ride from the cabin we have rented another. Any help would be appreciated.
By the way-with the avy danger as it is we will stay off most hills and love to ride in the trees and meadows.
Thanks in advance.

If you are staying in the Fish Lake area there are plenty of trails to ride and a ton of bondocking. The trail system is marked very well. It wasn't very busy last weekend. Being new to the area, go up to snow cone or out the Trinity rd. you will find plenty to stay busy. good luck

Where's the cabin, if it's in Plain then you have the whole Fish Lake area. I just saw some pictures from a friends cabin in Plain it's deep. A couple places at Fish Lake are Sugar Loaf and Miners ridge. Great boondocking area, Miners ridge is a burned out area, so plenty of room to roam. Another is Trinity, lot of good play areas. All of the above show up on the trail maps, very well marked. If you shoot me a PM I can tell you about another area that doesn't appear on the maps.

Hey Karen and Steve!

This area sounds veeeeerrrry familiar. We have yet to attempt it this year, too much snow and too many trees down!

Chris

Chris - long time no talk to! we'll be out there Feb 28 - Mar 2..... with all the kids and the new grandbaby :) hopefully we can touch base with you guys............

I know, I don't get on here much anymore. Too busy! I'll put those dates in my calender, I'm pretty sure I'll be up there. My folks bought a place right down the street from midway so I've been trying to make it over there more this year.

BigT, where is the cabin?

Not real sure where the cabin is. Just be told you can ride from the cabin to the trail system and that it is on the Chew????? something or another river? Have no idea realy. Like I said, first time over there sledding.

I remember some trips up there sidehilling for 2 hours getting in and out.....and digging sleds out of the creek beds. Never really saw much riding once we got in and everyone usually gives up before they get that far.
