Headed to Council/McCall Area

Going to be in the area from the 27th-30th. How is the coverage?

Staying at 7 Devils Lodge. What are the riding areas to hit while in the area. We have 3 days to ride.

Coverage is decent but it would be easy to screw up a sled if not careful. I have been riding with a long time local in the Brundage/Bear Basin area. He tells me when to not screw around, there are sections of stumps and rocks where it isn't safe to go wild yet. But the rain and warm temps definitely made for a good base, you can go anywhere. Only stuck today was when a buddy hit a hole that ended up being a rock face without enough coverage.

If you are going to ride out of the Bear Cuprum area be carefull, that area seems to need more coverage than what we ride in brundage goose areas. We generally don't head that direction until after New years.

I ride west mountain and use the Tamarack Ski report for recent snow conditions.
