Hay How about the Washington state parks Site

If you go to the Washington state parks site for Greenwater FS70 you will see the state is out of funds for grooming.

I don't see how this could be possable since it has been broken down for most of the season.

Thoughts?

It might help if some of you guys would go to some of the groomer meetings and find out how and where the money goes, this would answer a lot of questions and it only takes 1 night a month.than you would know

I don't get it, we are not grooming any more they did last year, what gives, we must have to pay for there repairs also, I will say it R&R grooming is screwing us

This is a bunch of BS. Grooming in this state is performed by a group of private contractors. They receive a contract for a 5 yr period to groom the trails. I pays something in the neighborhood of $120 an hour for grooming with a total commitment of a specified amount of hours per week. I know this cause I'm friends with people who researched the process, went to the meetings, and attempted to get the contract. The groomers DON'T just run out of money. They are contractually obligated to groom a specified amount and are paid hansomly for it. Maybe they make a little less profit cause of the gas price increases but I bet they will make up for it in the next contract negotiation. So, if the contractor is piss poor at managing money then maybe they are running out but per their contract with the state that really doesn't matter too much. They still have an obligation to fulfil.

AND, the grooming started late this year due to the snow coming late.
I want to start hitting the meeting in Cle Elum. Can U advise what night it is? At the Forest Service Bld, right?

They are out of funds to plow. I went to the plowing meeting today and the state has spent (most likley overspent) all the funds for plowing this season. They want us to take it from the groomers or pay for plowing ourselves.
