I know a few guys that have bought and sold sleds at haydays and everything has worked out just fine. As everyone has said ca$h is king. THat being said it's a lot easier being from Minnesota and buying a Minnesota sled though. I can always go to the persons house and beat them about the head if they sell me a piece of crapola. Of course buyer beware though. You are dealing with (ab)used sleds.
Seems liked the last few years used sleds have held their value since we've had snow in the midwest. Used mountain sleds seem to be premium priced for quite a while.
The OP should take a trip up to the grass drags in Rochester MN on the 25th of Sept. The swap isn't anything like Haydays but it's closer to Iowa.
