I would really like to thank Tammy,Tony. Skip, and everyone else that helped
put this event together.. It was an eye opening event. I really expected to throw a leg over a hawk and have very little issues.. Not the case.. You guys that ride these machines fast.. Brian, Cailen, Theirey,Poacher and others have my uppermost respect...Ill need a bit more seat time to even have a clue..
Had a great time with Mike and the rest of the explorer group, and found out that my buddies explorer really is set up completely wrong. The explorer does indeed work.It would have been nice to do an all bike conversion ride..
with so many riders going every witch way it was difficult to coordinate anything. Like Tony said, we where all like a pack of dogs.
Perhaps next year we can set up groups with GPS tags to each group??
I learned so much.. It was amazing to ride several Hawks and every one felt completely different. So many set ups and ingenuity from you guys..
I havent figured out if the Hawk is for me or not.. I really like my 2moto..
but Ill give it another try and will not let it kick my butt.
Hopefully you guys can list your thoughts of what was good and what wasnt so great so it can be used to further the single ski movement..
look for some stuff coming from me in the next few weeks..
Anyone on here a web designer and single ski rider?? please PM me..
Thanks, It was great to meet everyone.

I had a great time.

Hawkfest was pretty cool this year but was a bit of a pain for me because of the total of 26 hour drive back & forth... to ride one day. That tells you how crazy I am about these machines...

Really glad I met all of you guys with who I speak to on this forum : CJGodden, IbBroken, Sled2r, Off Road Rider, J&L SnowHawk, 877snowHawk, Poacher, Poacher's son (11yr who rode the 503!), the world famous McCBrothers, Goodspeed, onewoodsrider, Rudeawakening, Roo, Joey, Scott and many others, sorry if I forgot ayone these are the names I remember right off my mind.

Best thing about Hawkfest is it's such a unique opportunity to mett people, share tips & involve as a rider as well as make our machines better. Lots of great ideas and concepts were at '09 Hawkfest; the radest one was without a doubt Sled2r's Kawahawki. Mr Scott also had that swingarm pivot relocation retrofit to get rid of the track tightening. I'm looking forward to do it this week on mine and integrate it to the kustom footpeg bracket i design. I'll keep you aware. Thanks to WhistlerHawk on that who gave me some info on the relocation retrofit he recently tested on the 2 hawk he's got. Hawkfest is also a good indication of the "heart rate" of the sport. From what i've seen at '09 Hawkfest, pretty much all the problems of Hawks have been figured out & solved by us, dedicated & passionate owners.

I finally got to try the explorer kit, which I'm happy about it ! Thanks to Milke, now 2 of my DR400Z friends back east almost want to kill me... they are jaleous at me because I rode an Aprilia : their dream bike from day 1 they've seen it...

Had a great day saturday, my Girlfriend got to take 1 absolute masterpiece shot of me riding my Hawk that I'll post later because I want to add the copyrights on it. Thanks to her, it was her first day of sledding of her life and she handled it like a pro ! Thanks to poacher for the sled my GF used all day.

Was awesome to ride with you guys even though we didn't have that much seat time...

Thanks to Tony & Tammy for their true dedication.

Had an AWESOME time!

I would like to throw out a REALLY BIG THANKS to Tammy and Tony for all their hard work putting together a get together like this. It is truly appreciated!

I'm sure glad Thierry is good at remembering names cause I'm terrible at it. It was really fun meeting everyone and putting names and faces together.

I'll post some pics.

We don't have logging roads here in Utah so that was some new riding for us. And as you can tell it was new to Harley as well.

Here's a couple more pics.

I thought I was taking a pic of Joel(from my group) but it turned out to be Les (J&L snowhawk) Don't know why the camera always seems to come out of the pocket when someone is stuck. LOL:):)

2nd pic was at "The Jack" and MAN was that FUN!!!!!!

And 2 more pics.

We all thought we were having fun at the bar but I think Harley had the most fun of all. He was dancing with all the hot girls, gambling, and drinking shirley temples!!!! Grinning ear to ear!

And last pic Tammy, Harley and Tony. Thanks again for all the hard work.

A big thanks

It was so great to meet everyone. A big thanks to Off Road rider for the light you gave to my son Austin, Also a big thanks to TLKDPROD for the poster you gave Austin. and for the guy with the husaburg that you let him ride.

Sledr2 All I can think about is how much fun your Hawk was thanks for flagging me down and letting me ride it. That was the best motorized offroad mechine I have ever put a leg over.

Everyone just ripped. so impresed with everyones ridding skills and inovations!

The conversion kits sold them selves.

We should try and do this more than once a year! Alaska, Utah, Canada, Montana,Wash, Idaho. Should divide us into 1ski clubs.

The light couldn't have gone to a more deserving guy. Austin did a unbelievable job of riding the big bikes.
The club/organization idea is a great one.. singleskiriders.org is coming soon.
