Having trouble with my hood release on my Super Duty.

Pulled the hood release on my 2003 Super Duty and it seemed normal except the hood would not pop up. Tried everything to get it to open and nothing worked. So I wedged the lever up and drove off in the search of some pot holes and it popped up. I can't see any adjustment on either end. Is the cable stretched? Anyone ever have a problem like this? This is a first for me.

Time for a new truck. Just kidding :)
Happens all the time. Get it open again and get out your favorite penetrating oil. Spray the latch, the spring, try and get some in the cable, hit all the moving points on the hood hinges and hinge spring. You may also need to adjust the little rubber stops on the radiator support to provide a little pressure to help the hood pop up easy.
Open and close the hood several times and you should be good to go.

While you have the lube out, hit all the door hinges and latches, spray some in the locks too. Eric

I can't sell the truck. It has a Boss plow on it. :face-icon-small-hap
Thanks for the tips. I didn't think about the rubber stops.
