The fueling systems there coming up with now on some turbo kits are at the point you end up with a true turn key sled with no tuning just like a factory sled. I have known guys that have toasted a whack of engines because of a lack of tuning abilities, I'm taking +5 engines a season. That would be a massive turnoff.

I truly believe a properly set up turbo on a 2-stroke will add longevity to it. There is less ware going on inside a boosted 2-smoker than a stock smog friendly one. The oil film clinging on to the inside surfaces actual gets pressurized under load.

Don’t get me wrong about the longevity claim, this is not a high boost hold it to the wood all day long day after day type riding. This would be in the hands a more technical rider that is keen to what abuse is, stock or modded.

I love turboed up 2-smokers and hopefully will always be able to build and ride them

Need a tab for "Have not ridden a turbo, but want to."

They need a tab for "I own one, and would not be without one"

I have owned modified BB and would not go back mind you that was carbureted not fuel injected.. however I do own a 2011 Poo Pro that had a turbo installed at approximately 400 miles and is currently at 3200+ miles and not one motor issue. I did pull and change the pistons at 2400 miles, although the originals were in excellent condition and I am only running it at 8 - 9 lbs boost at elevation (6000' - 7000') with 50/50 premium and av gas, I have run it with straight Chevron 94 octane without an issue as well but prefer the av blend. I have always carried a spare sled with me only because of the "it's a mod sled and will break down" mentality and have never rode it. I picked up a 2013 pro retro last year (for my new back up sled) and I rode it one weekend only just to break it in!!

Did I mention gas, oil, pull rope and go!!

"I have owned one, but don't see the need to own another." would be my reply.
But I voted "I have owned and will buy again." because that was the closest option.

This opinion may likely change if my normal riding area were above 9k feet, and in dry pow. My t-Nytro was great in CO, but felt like it made things way too easy at lower elevations and heavier snow conditions. Yep, I like a challenge I've realized..but I've never been big into climbing/chutes and the like.

I'm very interested to see what Paul [Impulse] does with the XM, I know he does the Yamaha's right.

Edit: oh, this poll is for 2strokes, don't understand why it matters. /shrug anyway

I will be riding my 7th turbo 2stroke this yr. I think there great and each yr get a little better in some way. I don't have much experience with high miles due to new one each yr. at this point planning on having turbo for yrs to come.

That would be nice John to ride a new one every year, this will be year #4 on my cutler 09 m-1000 3,000 miles and still runs strong 2 buddies ride same turbo sleds and have more miles than me see ya on the hill
