Has anyone try from 4injector to a 2 injector on 800

Did anyone think of trying a 2 injector 800 using a 010 600 fuel rail, ecm add more numbers to that ecm with a pc111 or pcv. Then change the fuel pressure, and try it that way.

I've heard from more than one source that the 4 injector system is a better system than the 2 injector when fueled properly. Depending on RPM, the motor prefers fuel fed in different locations. This also helps with cooling. Different motors will always have different fueling requirements. Polaris took advantage of this when they designed the CFI 4 system. Unfortunately in all it's glory it has a strong weekness too. It is very difficult to pass EPA regulations with this system.
When using a PC V you have the ability to actually make this system work to it's potential by taking the EPA out of the equation.
Going back to a 2 injector is a move obviously influenced by having to meet EPA regulations. If you have a 4 injector system, I see no advantage to going with a 2 injector setup.

Is the 2011 800cfi a 2 injector setup I couldn't find anything in Polaris's info anywhere on weather it was or not. and if so which 2 injectors did they stay with the cylinder pair, the case pair, or do they have a new location

The 11 is a 2 injector setup in the block. Somebody posted up a pic here somewhere. New block for the new setup that has the regulator right with the injectors.

Fix the timing should be easy.. As for a two injector i think that it would be better if it was from the crankcase rather than from the block. IMO probably burn better and compresses more. Than the block I see that in the block that injectors are some what blocked by the sleave of the block. Thus probably result in probably piston wash exploxed in the wrong spot. I would love to see how this new two injector be on the 800 probably get better mpg.

Rumors are saying 2 injector, but the photos I've seen still look like 4 :noidea: . I would think it would have to be in the case for proper cooling and mixing with the oil for lubrication.
I think I would just in cooperate them in the reed cage.

My buddy at the show yesterday called me and said it was 2 injectors, all new manufacture.

For the 2011 Did he say where there placed on the motor, This sounds interesting how the motors are going to run, Hopefully they have it right, knowing they are a bit high prices.

I am with whoever said "that if they (Polaris) were sure they got it right they would be bragging it up". I THINK that they are staying away from throttle body location because if you are up stream of the reed with an injector you lose fine spray pattern of the nozzle then the fuel will collect on the reed pedal.
I currently have a set of V force 3 reeds that have less than 300 miles on them that need new pedals, lack of lube I think is the reason but that is my opinion though. Until the Boyesen Rage cage finally comes out of redesign and comes off back order I will run my stock reeds. I think the material that boyesen uses (similar to OEM at least on the power pedals) is less likely to damage even when dry.
Why not stay with 2 injectors in the case that is what the real mystery is, I guess that is where the cleaner burn will come from the closer the injector is to the combustion chamber the more controlled the injector pulse timing can be. That will mean a more complete burn and less wasted fuel in theory. but without a injectors in the case what will lube/remove heat from the big end of the rod I guess only time will tell on that issue. these are all just my opinions hopefully I brought up some good points and I'm not just out here taking up space.

I know it is not worth putin VF 3 reeds on a cfi they break. even if it was in throddle body it would still get sucked in because if suchion.

Are you talking about the fuel getting sucked in the engine? yes it will suck in but the droplet size off the reed tip is not as fine as one coming out of an injector nozzle and there is more chance for fuel puddling which equals less power and less mpg
