Has anyone sorted out the 2007 Revs?

What? I bought mine last feb and haven't had a single problem. Pulling good rpms, over 2500 kms, lots of tandems cause I ski as well! Oh right I did have one problem. The A-arm on the left side bent when I used a tree to stay on track climbing through them!

I have posted this many times but check the side vent on the left panel and cover it up with screen or tape. Snow gets in there and covers your clutch and creates slippage and over rev till it gets super hot and burns your belt and cathces. My 07 has been awesome and rips.

I bought my 2007 Summit 800R Adrenaline new this year. I'm new to mountain sledding and love it. Felker's in Loveland set it up and thus far I have 197 miles on it with no trouble whatsoever.

I think mine is now good to go. With the clutching updates, new short block and new RAVE valve solenoids it seems to be running good now. It has been a battle, but now that it is running good again I am happy.

2007 Xrs 159

All i did was clean up the clutch parts, balance and make the components freed up inside and all of the same size (blueprinting), added DJ's clutch kit and a lightweight can, and did the track swap to a powdermax and this sled is unstoppable. It will kill the stock XP's of any length.

Warranty did replace the engine 2 months ago due to crank bearing failure. The new engine was really different than the original one, the best I can describe it that it has more torque over a larger rpm range, feels more like the 2005 engine with a bit more power...and less peaky than the original engine it came with.

I'm totally happy with this sled now, especially since all my buddies with their XP's have had backcountry failures (drive shafts)....and numerous belt issues on teh XP's (except for one guy with DJ's XP clutch kit, his doesn't have belt issues, but he did lose his driveshaft).

The ONLY issues I have had are with the primary rollers and the main bushings. Alot of people blame the TRA7, but the design is identical to the III, just eliminated the splines with a taper-fit (stronger and more precise). As for the rollers and bushings, hopefully Doo will have yet ANOTHER fix. The latest update is good for 4-500 miles before they show excessive/premature wear.
I have tried dozens of different clutch settup and honestly have a hard time making it NOT run good, the 800R is an animal. My sled and the other 3 '07's (and 1 '08) in our group have had ZERO belt issues, even with the 166 both orange and white lettered.
I agree about the opening in the left side panel, cover it with screen or it WILL get snow in there, if it gets on the belt it will overrev and shorten belt life.

Just curious, is Doo replacing the rollers and bushings under warranty?

BTW, I swapped out the primary to that stiffer spring you recommended and it's working great....got the RPM I was looking for. Didn't bother doing the helix yet. Thanks again!

These things really do run hard when you get them setup. There were some hill drags here last weekend and I couldn't find a stock M1000 I couldn't edge out....the hard camo on packed snow didn't hurt either, but the rev would keep creeping ahead all the way up...say what you will, but that was the outcome.

I havn't bothered going back to see if they will replace them again, I did talk to them and they are aware there is an issue. I went with aftermarket rollers that I already had and my bushings aren't too bad yet, I will wait and see if they come up with another "final" fix. If not I may try a P-85 just for fun.

i have to agree as well with my 07 is running killer now,had all my weight taken out and stiffer spring put in,and it's rpm is spot on in all conditions, load or no load,BUT looking for more bottom grunt i got the delaer to throw 2 grams back in to my pins and it's back to it's old game of searching all over the place.so i had to click up.
I think the dude who invented the quick clickers ,also had som dr.evil **** going on helpin out the r&d department for the clutches .:):mad::D

I just bought my 2007 800R this year with 300miles on it. When I got it, the first time out it ripped, but the belt slipped alot. The next ride I changed to Amsoil as I have always ran it in the past with no problems. I ironically had rpm issues the next ride. So I took it in to the dealer to get the clutch updates, still had issues. I took it back, they put it up on the stand and couldn't even get it to the rev limiter. They said it was running really rich and adjusted the oil pump and put zip ties on the rave valve lines, as there has been a potential problem for vaccumm leaks. I took it out last weekend and it rips again.....I also vented out the shock towers and the extra rpm gauge to cool the engine compartment. So far so good, belts running good and rpm's are great. I think the lag could of been to a different viscosity of the oil or the vaccuum leak on the rave valves. Not sure if this would help others, but might be worth a try????

Best of luck.... now I am waiting for the crank to go next before the warrany is up, lol

I had the final fix on my xrs 300- 400 mi. ago, toasted a belt awhile back in 30 mi. of riding after 25mi. of break in. The "final fix rollers" were toast again. I hope they get different ones before the warranty is up. Doo did warranty the orange letter 166 belt though. She had been running pretty good up till then.
