Has anyone installed the BDX Alpha rail brace?
I was thinking about ordering this brace but was looking for some info from someone who has installed one??

It's clean and tight, that hardwood stick they send with it to drive them in took a bit of a beating.

A little lube before would probably have made it a little easier.

They send real rivets too :)

The pictures that are on the paper/instructions that came with it sure don’t show much. I didn’t think I’d have remove the rear suspension from the sled and take it apart to install these 2 peaces. Is that what you guys had to do?

Get a good heavy duty rivet gun I went through 2 supposedly heavy duty ones before getting a good one. I had no problems installing mine top was a little tight compared to the bottom. The instructions are lame the pictures suck but it’s not hard to figure out which rivets you need to drill out. Get a good drill bit. Over all it’s a good brace kit.

I installed this brace today. I fallowed the directions as close as possible. The bottom peace slid right in almost to lose in my opinion. The top peace was ridiculously hard to get in. Smashed the wooden dowel pretty quick. Ended up using a long peace of round stock steel that was very close to being the exact right size for the hole. It took a lot beating to get the top peace in far enough. I’m guessing there was too much glue inside my rail. Sled is basically brand new.
