Harts Pass

That I did. And Idaho if your wondering. Just lookin for a good place to sled like everyone else. Thanks for the help guys, can't wait till the snow falls around the mountains in chelan, until then, I think im gonna drive up to Harts Pass on thursday the 11th. I'll bring my camera with me but I'll be drivin my honda with studded tires so the pictures arn't gonna be of the peaks until my dad and I get the sleds up there with his truck.

Nice, how did Blewett look? Ive been up there once and it... was... awsome! Love the backcountry experiance, I hate trails... Haha. I was up there I think early 08 and there was lots of powder, and lots of people. Ive also been to gold creek just past pateros, unfortinately thats where my dad dumped his old sled down a 300ft hill (it was steep and rocky). We were riding on ungroomed trails and the wind made big hard snow peaks and he just tipped over. I have his old sled now (99 Summit X 670, its my profile pic) which was fixed with a couple hundred dollars in nose parts and some rivots en duckedtape. Now he's on his new 03 Polaris Edge 800 159". Sorry for jumpin in this thread and talking about snow and stuff other than harts pass, I'll try to keep it on topic unless you don't mind...

Sunday?

harts pass sunday,,,, who's in ? I've never been there, but would make the journy for the 1st ride

Hmm, sounds tempting but I have to work sunday. There should be a bunch of new snow by then. My dad and I will probly head up sometime soon though. Let me know if your interested.

I have never been there either. Not exactly sure how to get there but mapquest says its just under 100 miles from chelan and about 2 1/2 hours. I was gonna drive up tomarrow in my honda to look around but I might as well wait a few days.

Oh, ok. Mabey i'll take the ride then, mapquest tells me to turn off right before pateros and drive up past twisp and so on. That sound right or is there a faster way? And is there a bunch of little roads I should know about when I get there, or is it as simple as seing a sighn for harts pass and you drive in and park? Thanks.

You got the right idea...there isn't a faster way. Through Methow, through Twisp, through Winthrop, stay left towards Mazama. Take Mazama turnoff to the right and about 1/2 mile take the T to the left. Follow signs to Harts.

Ahh, ok, you sound like my GPS which is a good thing. I guess I will drive up there tomarrow just to scope it out so were not pulling the sleds to somewhere weve never been. Thanks.
