Hard to carve in the deep!?!?!?!

We have an '07 renegade 600SDI and we put a deeper track on it for playing in the mountains. The problem is its quite hard to lean over and hold a nice carve. It really pulls the bars straight . Has anyone noticed this and does anyone know a fix? We've already disconnected the swaybar.

learn how to counter steer when going into a turn and carving dough nuts. it doesnt take much effort to get the sled to come over and stay in your turn when you learn how. Narrow the ski stance will also help.

themtguide is right learn how to counter steer .I set my front springs to the lightest setting that helped me the most it may not work for you but give it a shot

Guess I'm the only one?

Every one of my friends that I ride with has ridden this sled and all noticed the same thing ( thought maybe it was me )but it wasn't me.

So has anyone solved this??????????

ski stance comes to mind. check the limiter strap and rear suspension. other than that it has me confused. plus nothing lays over like a viper...still miss it!

does the machine have after market drop brackets on the tunnel ? The reason i ask is because i bought a used 07 xrs and the previous owner had raised the rear of the tunnel 2.5 inch. . it made the machine feel heavy also hard to control going down hill . when i would try to carve i could not keep the front of the machine hooked in the turn . i lowered the machine back to the factory level and losened off on the spring preload on the front shocks after that i have had no other problems the machine will carve with any thing on the market . how long have you had this machine ? and is it your first rev.

my 05 summit X with the sway bar on it, I can lay that thing down on its side, the deeper the snow the easier, and I can do it just sitting on the sled now. its all a combination at the same time,; to go right, step down hard on the right runner, goose the throttle, turn the ski's to the left, Yes, to the left, and yank the sled to the right once you figure it out, you will be like, This is so Flipping easy I can't believe it! if you start to fall over, turn the skis toward the right and it will right the sled up.

Try different skii's. I do not care for the BRP pilot skii's and have SLP Powder Pro's on my sled now. They made it a complete different machine for turning in the pow, deep or not. There are alot of other aftermarket skii's that help out too.

The wide track does tend to keep these sleds upright but I loosened my front shocks, re-drilled the mount holes 1" forward in the rails for the front skid lower shock mount and lengthened limiter strap. Then loosened the rear skid suspension.

This works best for me.

Also am trying a pair of Simmons this weekend.

summit steering

I had my first ride today post swaybar and the front end was noodley. Bottoming out the shocks even with the springs clicked up all the way. I did not notice it carving much better. Any ideas?

My 06 summit x has no sway bar left in it. That is the easiest sled so far to carve in deep snow. I have the shocks set on the #3 position, no bottoming out or anything. When you say springs clicked up all the way you are meaning the front shock springs right? :)

shocks

Yeah,

They are clicked into the stiffest setting. They are just the stock adrenaline shocks, so maybe they are just shot. And with me at 240 lbs, they do take a beating.

I just feels like the sled wants to do its own thing now instead of where I want it to go. The outside ski really dives unless I am leaning hard the other way.

Any ideas?
