Happy Pothead Day!

4-18 this year. Washington DC had Monday off while the rest of us had to go to work. Reason for the change I hear.

I'm personally against MJ, but now with a dying dog, I'm looking to CBD oil to help her live a little longer.

You are very ignorant if you are against marijuana. Industrial hemp and recreational marijuana should be legalized on the federal level, immediately. This cuts down on our severe opioid crisis, and cuts the bread and butter revenue source from Mexican cartels, not to mention all of the prisoners that are locked up for marijuana offenses. I'm too lazy to go on with more benefits, they're too obvious.

So if someone is against tobacco, does that make them very ignorant?

If they fail to understand they are completely different plants with different uses, yes. Does tobacco have multiple textile uses and medicinal uses? Does tobacco incarcerate people and leave them in a vicious cycle of unemployment and underemployment? Does the human brain have natural receptors for tobacco like it does for cannabinoids?

I could really care less whether they legalize it or not on the federal level but if your in jail, unemployed or underemployed for a marijuana offense.... maybe that's where you need to be??? The casual user is not the one in jail for 10-20 years. It's the dealer, smuggler who I doubt would all the sudden turn into a model w-2 employee if it were legalized! I would bet money he turns to moving a different drug!

Growing up, I would have been in a bit of trouble for alcohol related offenses.
But, if I would've been caught with pot (or any dope), that would've been an embarrassment to the family.
It's too bad that the shame factor has been diminished.

My point was, calling someone very ignorant that may see it differently as you, was out of line.

Didn't intend it to be taken as offensive, just a strong opinion of mine. Unfortunately I know a family that was forced to split, the mother and daughter went to Colorado so they could actually control her epileptic seizures. Nothing else but cannabis oil works for her.

Can't believe how stupid people are today.there are valid medical uses, but you tell me how convince kids not to use when they say it's legal. When have you ever heard a motivational speaker say only if I would have done more drugs I would have been more successful? Never wake the **** up! What opioid crisis? Maybe it's time to thin the herd! If they make it legal I have 700 plus acres let everyone grow it. And I'll supply all the future welfare case with bags full of ambition. Anyone thinks this is a good idea should jump of a cliff cause your using up valuable air.

I'm ok with the medical use of it but not so much of it for recreational use. The two are distinct and should not be grouped together.

Like I said, I'm using high CBD oil (no THC in it) for a pet dog that is dying of cancer and has stopped eating. The CBD oil seems to help with her appetite and reduces her anxiety and vomiting. The oil used for seizures is also low THC and doesn't make the children with seizures high.

There are "medical" MJ shops everywhere in CO. I feel bad for all of those 20-30 year olds that must be in real bad shape/health that I see frequenting those medical MJ shops. Perhaps they are buying the medical pot for their elderly relatives that are shut ins?

Btw, the forest service park rangers (Police officers) are pretty vigilant looking for pot users on Federal lands in Colorado. Although legal in the state, it is still illegal on Federal lands. Most of the pot smokers I see getting busted are either cross country or back country skiers who I often see smoking pot when they return from their activities. It pisses me off that many of these "smokers" drive high and endanger others. These are the same people who judge power sport enthusiasts.
