just a quick questions, i cant remember if you take the fuel screws out or in to get rid of the hanging idle. seems like i went out and made it worse?

If its hanging because of setting, turning out should help. If there is a seal or reed boot leak, that will need to be fixed.
been there done that. i think its just my fuel screws. that or its my wore out carb slides cause they rattle really bad while its running but im just gonna try the fuel screws first.
Are those fuel screws? I think they are air screws. Fuel screw is on a four stroke. You need to put larger pilot jets in usually to cure the lean high idle.

Modern flatslide carbs have white FUEL screws. There haven't been air screws on carbs since the old Mikuni VM series.

PS - You'll spin in circles adjusting fuel screws if the pilots are clogged/dirty. Start with new ones if there is any doubt!
