Hanging idle on 04 rev

When i first start the thing it barley idles, but when i get it warmed up and running and i go to a stop, and the idle is really high and i have to tap the kill switch to get it to go back down. i was thinking the air screw but i dont remember if you screw in to lean or screw in to richen

On the flatlslides they are fuel screws (not air) so you turn them out for more fuel. If you need to turn out more than 2.5 turns then go up to 20 pilots. A lot of times it can just be partially clogged pilots from never cleaning your carbs - especially if this is just now happening and it didn't hang up in the past.

Have FUN!

thanks and its been doing it for awhile so im gonna try the fuel scews. pretty weird cause on my yami 450 they are called air screws but thanks ill pry clean the carbs too

could be pilot jets that is for your idle ,hanging idle usually means lean idle fixed by higher number pilot jets

i messed with the air fuel screws and dont seem to do it anymore. and my oil cable was out of ajustment so thats why it didnt want to idle when it was cold. the oiler was up way to high on just idle

make shure your oil cable/throttle cable is not frayed, And also check your reed boots they will crack and suck air causing a lean condition/ high idle.

brand new throttle/oil cable a week ago and sprayed starting fluid all over carbs and boots and no change in idle what so ever. like i said, i moved air/fuel screws out a bit and it stopped. thanks for all the help though.
