Hands down the best ZX MOD!

So I have searched everywhere for this conversion (XP on a zx) Only thing I can find is Rev seats on a ZX!

The big question now for all you guys what is the best mod for adding some POWER to this 700?

Pulled the stickers off. After hours of peeling I found a very quick way to remove the stickers.

1.gasket Scraper

2. butane torch

3 heat gasket scraper

4.Take off stickers

Updating to the piveting riser was by far the best mod I ever did to my 700.
By the way Cntrvl sledder I don't think your gonna like the painted arms and tunnel, snow is very much like sandpaper and it won't look that nice for very long IMHO. The boss seat was a good upgrade also but not as nice as the risers. As you can see I need better boards or something next. Also when I get in some really deep powder it starts to bog down then comes out of it when I hit some ones track any ideas there?

Any idea what those WKRP boards will sell for? I am in the middle of a tunnel project and fully intend to install or make something like these!

The others will clear the snow fine _ I am sure, but I ***_u_me that these tie in on the side of the tunnel for support as well?

Also - I don't understand "dropping the tunnel 1"."
What does that mean?

You dropped the rear suspension an inch maybe?

Yes they make the tunnel 10 times stiffer. I bought new brackets that dropped the tunnel bolt one inch down You can go more but I just needed more space so i would stop hitting the tunnel when I hit big bumps. Not sure about price but i will find out!

Ahh I did it last year as well. One side I did two layers of clear coat and I lost no paint on the other side I did one and had a tiny bit come off. So this year I took them off Blasted them down too the metal and powder coated them and added three coats of clear coat! I am also painting my 800's yellow. I am not doing the tunnel I polished it instead:face-icon-small-hap

RKT head and 670x pistons to keep the compression.and NOS. Then a 174 track and go slay what you want.

This summers mods

1) boss seat
2) 154 16in xp track
3) mountainfit hoods grill inserts (wicked sweetness)
4) mountain addictions gas rack
5) polished tunnel
6) team clutch (best clutch ever)

Okay I want to add some play to my sled over the summer here is what I am running now. But I wanna know what will put the cherry on the cake!
2002 Summit 700
151" track
700 dual ring pistons
HPS Can
No DPM
rack carbs off a 2005, jetted to my altitude.

A 700 clutch kit, featuring a famous helix and tech calibration support.

ZX seats are easy enough to modify. I took my stock seat, shortened it by removing the storage area, and narrowed the foam a bit for my knees.
You could always add foam on top for a rise if you wished.

Cheapest mod so far :face-icon-small-hap

You could change your gearing. I went from my stock 19/43 (high mark) to a 17/48. You may think thats a little too low but I like it, gets your track turning in a hurry. Rips from 0 to 50! Great for deep powder, slow speed torque is great and i can crawl at 5mph through the trees without slipping my belt. It will still pull 78mph fully shifted out on the road. I dont miss stock gearing at all. Im sure my belt temps are lower, it runs higher on the primary so more grip, less slip. Anyway my two cents

You guys looking for something like the WRP BetterBoards , RSI has cutouts to rivet to your tunnel and then cut the hole out in the tunnel, they come in sections so you can add as many as you want, I put a couple in my boys Racer-X tunnel on each side up in front where the snow builds up, should probably add a couple more on each side. Look on RSI website for info, would fit on any tunnel.

Best ZX Mod

http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=195817

Hope this link works. This guy has taken a rev seat and mounted it on a zx chassis. Looks pretty good and might be easier than the other method in this thread. I haven't tried it myself, though. It looked like it sets you up a couple of inches or better. The taller the seat the easier it is to transfer from sitting to standing in mountain riding. Just thought I would share. Good-luck!
