Handlebar risers

Picked up my new Pro yesterday and I am need of a 2-3 inch riser.
I looked through a WPS dealer book and could not find any that is listed for the Pro. Does it take the same as the dragon? Been a Cat guy all my life so I know nothing about Polaris...

It's the same as the 09-10 D8's. RSI and Oles Risers work well and will keep the correct angle off of the post, but you will have to drill out your steering post to 5/16". I put a 3" RSI riser on my Pro and it is just right for me at 6'2".

I would use RSI 15 degree 3" as well. I used this one at 4" and it might be a bit to tall. Im 6'4".

I'm a fan of the Ole's and AMP risers... They are a block style which ties together and helps to reinforce the top plate of the pro taper equipped Sleds.

The stock bars use a 4 bolt block that helps to tie the top plate together ... IMO... you should be using one that the does the same.

Stock rise on the PRO is about 1" (the pro does not use the additional spacer under the clamp like on the IQ-RAW Dragons '09+)

The risers that use two separate blocks. IMO, allow the top plate of the steering post to flex/fatigue which over time may lead to breakage...though there are many of the

2" 30 degree Ole's riser (15 degree recommended)

I do not recomend the straight Powermadd risers as they bring the bars back towards the rider.

P.S. It's an AMP 2-1/2" er.

The pro looks to be less cable/ wire length to me. I'm only an inch shorter footwell to bar stock as my 08 D8 with a 4" Skinz riser bar and an 08 D7 riser block. It is quite a bit taller than stock 08 trim. I think the new Pro is set up just about right, so if you don't already have your sled, wait and see. I ordered 2-1/2" before I got mine and now I can't use it.

Wiring and cables will allow 3" for sure, no problems with full travel turning the bars left or right. I'm not sure on the 4".

Definately a good point by MH about Ole's riser providing more support across the top plate of the steering post since it makes contact with it all the way across.. However, if you look at the stock Polaris bottom mount, it only makes contact with the top plate of the steering post in exactly the same locations as the RSI riser does, (the middle portion just wraps around the bars above the steering post and does not actually make contact with it). I went with the RSI riser, but IMO, it's just personal preference between the two more than anything, as both are quality products.

I haven't even bought a sled yet, but pretty close to going and getting a PRO.

I'm 6'3" and need the bar height.

I had the 2" Amp riser on my telescoping post on my 09 M8 and with it all the way up or one notch down was about right. So I'm guessing I'm going to need all of 3" on the Pro to get to that height.

I thought the same thing at first look... but, the Polaris mount still ties all four points together...plus the the Ole's and AMP risers DO actually go all the way across which would give even better support than the stockers.

I'm a short guy ... I found the Pro-taper bars a little tall for my liking...so not everybody is going to want a riser... Chris Burandt at about 5'11" really likes the rise of the stock bars.

Stock clamp is approx 3/4" rise....take that into account when ordering.

I thought I'd throw this out there to anyone that reads this thread wanting a riser. I ordered Oles riser because I've read good things about them. I called first to see how long it would take from ordering until I got them. Mike told me it would take 2 weeks. A month later I sent an email asking when i might recieve them and he told me I was lucky I'm not the guy that ordered in July because he hadn't recieved his yet either. Here we are 2 months after ordering them I'm waiting for another email reply to see wtf is the hold up.

If your dead set on having Ole's risers you better order them now and you may have them yet this season. Has anyone else had any issues with Ole's and it taking a long time? Here I thought I was covering my basis by calling ahead of time to see how long it would take, that was a wasted phone call.

Another option, which I am personally going to go with, is RSI's Pivot adapter, coupled w/whatever riser and bar you desire. I prefer the pivot design over the plate style, anyhow, plus I run a specific pullback style bar, on all my sleds. A considerably more expensive way to go, but leaves you with more options.

I have the non pro RMK 800.

How much lower is the handlebar vs. pro rmk?

How tall are the stock riser on the non pro?

Does the non pro rmk have the same cable lenght as the pro?

i was thinking about a fly riser, how many inches would be possible without extended cables ?

Dont have the sled here with me, so i cant look myself.

Thanks

Got thousands in the field with no bending of the flat plate on the post. The post as always the weak link.
