Handlebar Riser - how high?

I have an '06 Summit X, and need a handlebar extension. How high can I go with out having to adjust the cables and what not. I see Rox makes an adjustable 4 to 6" riser. Is 6" to high?

I just put a 3.5" Rox on my '06 summit x and the cables reach. I moved the cables from under the factory block and zip tied them on the front so they are not loose and catch things. May be able to do more rerouting and get a little more. Have not tried that myself.

I have some 9.5" tall risers with no problems.

I added the 3.5" rox to my 04 X. As Mugs said you have to reroute a couple of things. I had to reroute my throttle and brake cables as well. I don't think I could have gone more than I did without buying a throttle ext and new brake cable.
