handle bar risers

I want to put a set of risers on a 2000 700 rmk and was wondering if anyone knew how high you could go without extending the cables. Also, any suggestions on 3,4, or 5 inch rise and does it matter if the risers are pivoting?

3 in is about max any more the throttle cable will start to bind , POWER MAD makes a extender that works well up to 6 in

I have about 7 1/2 in mine with the stock wiring there is room to finesse it to gain the length. The brake line was good to with a 45* fitting the cable will only go about 3 in with a strait riser and if you set it just rite 4 with a pivot riser other wise you need a cable extension.

i got a 2inch riser with those dragon pro taper bars and all i needed was a throttle extension the brakes fit

did you ever get risers, if not check out my site www.tkspecialtiesllc.com

I have 4" on my 99 700 you can go 5 if you want i sell 2,3,4,6,8 lengths, you can make up some cable length by pivoting the risers forward

You can also just re-route the brake line like I did. I did 6" bars with 3 or 4 inch pivoting. The throttle addition helped with the tight turns with just the riser on but with the bars too you need it. My brake line is just routed from the brake itself to the bars instead of going around stuff.
