handguards on standard RMK

hey, ive been having little luck finding anything about putting handguards on a standard RMK. It seems everything I read/find is for the Pro tapers.

About the only thing I can come up with is to find a set of straight bars(off the Iq chassis), without the mountain bar tab's and getting a clamp on one.

As it sits now theres not enough room to mount my powermad's between the control block/tabs without destroying the wires for the hot grips.

anyhelp appreciated.

THANK YOU and AGREE 100% - dealt with this all of last year and said screw it. Hopefully something will be available this season.

Why not just look at what we have been running on the IQ's. I have been using Rox Flex Tecs for the past few seasons and have the same mountain bar tabs. They are basically a Skinz soft handguard with a semi-stiff plastic backing and a solid mount.

Here is also a Sled Solutions video of them

Well after a couple hours of head scratching, thinking, modifying I got my powermadd's on it. I ended up filing a bit of weld down/trimming the brake control block so the wires wouldnt be kinked. The only problem I ran into, was I broke one of the hot grip wires off. oh well I guess, atleast they arent hard to replace or get.

Also, I put a 5" riser on it. They wouldnt have cleared with the stock one. As it stands now, they just clip the windshield at full lock.

Best Pic I got:

what i have been doing with the powermadds isssssssss putting them between the throttle/brake block and grips.

You need to notch the hand guard mount for the handle bar heater wires and take the parking brake lever off.

the better way to do it is get power madd guards and get these mounts from polaris

then the mounts between the mountain strap and the throttle/brake block

I tried last year between the grip and block, I didnt like it b/c of how it fits with hand grip wires. So I put them between the block n mountain bar. The wires seemed to fit much better.

Ah yeah them mounts look slick.
