hair-trigger kill switch fix ideas?

RSI, Will the new switch come with the o-ring or something similar to keep the switch from being accidently pushed by tree/brush branches? I like it!

No, it will not come with the o-ring.LOL Better chances of not deploying it with your body when it is facing forward. If you still do not like the oem kill switch, we have an option available to get this throttle block with our billet kill button built into it, which requires you to push and hold down to kill engine and is encapsulated to prevent accidental deployment. It is also facing forward.
Thank you,
RSI

I ride in the trees a lot and would be hitting a forward facing kill switch often on a typical ride. I will stay with stock and an O-ring.

Could someone with access to these green cheerios get bunch and sell them on here?

Right idea, poor execution. You've moved the ultra-sensitive, fully-exposed button from the most-bumped area on the handlebars, to the second-most. If you're putting all the effort into reconstructing the throttle/kill switch body anyway, why not make them separate entities all together, and build exactly what richracer1 did? Then your customer can put the kill switch wherever they please.

i use windshield elastics/o-rings off of older (late 90's-03)Ski-Doo Windshields-and they're usually available wherever you ride..i wouldn't wanna castrate my kill switch...lol

Here's my fix, the red switch on the left is for reverse and the black on the right is the kill (kill switch direction may get changed):

Are these switches from fly?

the tree branches do unplanned shutdowns like stated before, but not as costly as mid climb

Or, if you are going with an aftermarket throttle block, just get a kill switch from a polaris 440 prox. Thqt is what i run and i have never ever acidentally killed the engine. It is a slide type toggle switch. Still not as cheap or simple as a green cheerio though.

If the most bumped area is not working then why not try the second best?

If you do not want the oem kill switch moved to the front then do not install it, it is not required.

Our throttle block uses the oem throttle lever pivot pin safety switch, which you have to have installed on Pol Pro or motor will not take rpm.

Hope this helps,

This sounds like a dumb argument to me. If when the 2nd best is no good, then try the third? And then fourth? Until you finally find a spot that makes sense? That's like thinking, "I took my 121 into the powder, it didn't work very well at all, tomorrow I'll try a 136.."

I would approach this from the other direction: Decide where you'll never kill it accidentally, and work toward convenience from there.

If you're redesigning something anyway, why not do it right the first time?

I agree completely! That is why I am removing the kill switch on the throttle block all together and just use my tether. Pretty sure that it wont accidentally be hit when its not on the sled at all. I'm going to be using the FTX throttle block by the way
