hair-trigger kill switch fix ideas?

I'm always hitting my kill switch by accident at the worst possible times. My xp friends can rotate theirs on their bar out of the way because its a separate unit, but on polaris they're integrated into the rest of whats going on up there.

Ive seen guys wrap elastics around their switch to make it harder to push. Any other ideas out there?

Find a rancher in your area, or just goto cal ranch, and get some green cheerios. Also known as elastrators. The switch will still kill the engine if you hold it down, but if you bump it, no effect. Nice thing about the green cheerios is its alot cleaner than 75 wraps of a rubber band, and they last twice as long.

X2 on the RSI billet swith. Those things are Legit. Point it forward and never have a problem with it again

I use a carb slide spring off a 34mm mikuni screws down over the button and stays put
you have to hold down on the button to shut it down ..

Get the kill switch strap from an XP. You can pull the Polaris kill swith out of the throttle block and mount it on the bars anywhere you want it.

I thought that this was the dumbest idea ever.... until i tried it. If you bump it it pops right up- but easy to shut off when you want. ANd the little cheerios cost around 5 cents.

I like the tether idea, I have a nasty habit of falling off on super steep things, watching the sled go down the mountain and pin throttle on a tree at bottom... Dig hole to china while I'm watching....

I have a habit of holding on, to each his own.

I like this cheerio idea, wish there was a ranch around here somewhere! someone mail me one, Ill send you a nickle!!

I have a tether switch and then have a woman's hair tie wrapped around the kill switch. Works better than a regular rubber band because it is more durable and doesn't dry out and rot.
:)

I have the same problem of hitting it at the worst possible times.lol.

Im going to be getting the RSI Kill switch and throttle block to solve the problem. but in know a rubber band works very good too and cheap!

Here's my fix, the red switch on the left is for reverse and the black on the right is the kill (kill switch direction may get changed):
