Follow the Steamboat ski area report, It's close and will give you a general idea of conditions.

Snow is much much thinner than usual. Willows, rocks, and downed trees everywhere. Even found signs of recent avalanches on North facing slopes. It was pretty to ride around.

Feels like winter finally arrived. More snow on the way tonight.

Rode the Whiskey Creek drainage yesterday, snow cover is still sparse and a lot of land mines still out there .... we still had a pretty good day just trying to hone our creek crossing skills though
