Had a right proper CRAPPY week. (pics)

Did my back in last fall. Stood up at work and now it'll never be the same. As I spent all last winter layin on the couch, not in pain just bored outta my skull, my then girlfreind says she wants a dog. So of we go to the pound and pick up "OUR" new dog. Months go by and finally the doctors make up their mind that surgery is required to correct the herniated disc. So after the surgery, the complications and the "recovery", WSIB says no more fixin cars for me. As I'm layin in th hospital my then girlfriend waltzes in and announces that she's done, can't be with a guy like me anymore. But since we got Spade together she is still our dog, so for months we just share her. Well last Tuesday she decides that since she has a new "man" in her life and things are going so well that she doesn't have to let me see my dog anymore. I actually went to see a lawyer, turns out that a dog is considered property and since she filled out the paperwork at the Humane Society while I was playin with the dog she only put her name on it. I have no legal course of action. So J-Roc my heart goes out to you, wishing for a speedy recovery. But take solice in the fact that Indy is in a better place, I get to carry around that Spade was used as a weapon against me.

that sux dude, The leg thing would be bad enough. But losing a family friend sux big time. Been a few years since my old dog died and ive still not gotten another

wait a minute here! does your wife know about your girl friend that put the new wheels and tires on your truck a month ago.LMFO

Nice one there a$$hat:face-icon-small-dis:face-icon-small-fro.

Jay this has been a pretty sh!tty week for the two of us, more so for you than me but its definitely a week I'd rather not remember. Anyways let me know if you need anything bud, just give me a shout.

Sorry about your loss. I know what your sayin.. I swear to this day I was changed forever when I lost my bud. Best thing you can do is get another dog. I know it seems wrong, but it will help you to not think about them all the time. You wont ever forget about them however, but it helps.

Good luck to ya.

Very sorry to hear my friend, that is certainly some bad luck to say the least. I lost my dog almost a year ago and it was pretty hard to take. Only time will be able to help you from both of these events, but until then, thoughts are with you:)

TTYL bud:)

That is two of the worst things that can happen to anyone!!!! I feel for you and wish you well !!!!

If I could take some of your pain I would!!!!! I've gone through all of this and more and seem to be able to shoulder alot of pain these days.......

One thing I've learned in life is to never challenge worse because life can have a funny way of showing you how much worse things can get..... It may be time to say something like... Things can't get much better and let life prove you wrong.

Take Care!!!

J.

Crappy double whammy !
Here's wishing you all the best on your speedy recovery and may you never forget the great times you spent with your loyal friend.:beer;
Any idea yet what happened to him?

Hey man, sorry to hear about your misfortunes. That sucks! Don't worry, things will get better. If you get to bored, common down for a sled ride. Leg braces and pain killers work great! Even have a extra sled for you to ride! Get well!

Thanks guys! The wost part of this is the BOREDOM. That, and i'm a contractor, so I have NO money coming in whatsoever.... Gonna be a pretty ****ty Christmas...
We got another pup about 3 months ago. Outlaw is a Border Collie/ Australian Shepherd cross. He's great, but he's Jess's dog, and so it just isn't the same... I'll probably get another dog soon, but it'll NEVER replace Indy....

Still haven't figured out what happened yet. Vet figured either a wolf or bear attack, or got hit by a car. Personally, I don't much wanna tink about what happened. It's not gonna bring her back. Being stuck in bed, I can't much go out and clean up all her blood from the yard either.

Soooo, i'm stuck in bed essentially. BORED AS HECK. Any ideas?

I went out to the shop yesterday and looked at the sleds. I'm trying soooo hard to not just pop a bunch of pain killers and go ride.

OH, and as an added bonus, I have a shoulder surgury booked for December tenth. Then, i'll really be laid up.

You've got internet... there's lots of porno on the internet... use that arm/shoulder while you can... :confused::cool:

You into gaming? There's a good way to kill a few months of your life... find a game you like, and let it pull you in...

sorry to here about your loss,

just an idea i thought of, if you have sleds and lots of time, i always wanted a polished tunnel, i guess you got lots of time, there you go, do a fine job show your buds and have them bring theres over, now you have a sideline business, if you have a mar lift or do like i did build one your self so that they are at a height you can work from a chair,

just a thought,

hope you get better:beer;:beer;

something I picked up off the HCS site last week (my dog is sick right now with an undiagnosed illness) even though I am not a religious person, I hope it can make you feel better the same way it did with me, I am very sorry for your loss of one of your family members.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Know how you feel

We got our Indy from the pound, and then found out she was going to have pups. She had 9, we kept 1 and found homes for the rest. We had Indy for 7 years when they found cancer. My hubby and I cried for days, we had her creamated and then took some of her ashes and spread them at her favorite camping spot. My heart goes out to you and I would like to tell it will get better but it will take time. Cathy
