??? Guy's with 2010 800 seat time

Sound's good. How many miles do you have. Have you had a chance to compare to other brand's.

Had mine out over the holiday weekend for the first time. Ran flawless all weekend. Very pleased so far. No bogs, burps or gurgles. Always started effortlessly, and handled way better than my Escape. Not sure of my milage, but pretty much burned the whole first tank up in it with 98% of that being road riding.

Had mine out Sat. and put on about 35 miles. Like others have said, the sled ran flawless, started first pull every time. however, i do think it is down on power from the previous engine. I have had the exact same setup (pipe, clutching, etc.) on my 08, 09, and now my 2010. On the previous two sleds i have ran about 84-8500 rpm on the flat, and 8200 on a climb with track speed in the mid to upper 40's. With the 2010 i see about 8100 on the flat, and 77-7800 climbing. Track speed now down around 34 mph. Nothing has changed except the updates. I'm a little dissapointed, and i think i will be trying some sort of different head to try and get some compression back.

Lets not confuse compression with compression ratio, which is where the power is gained. Call Chris at Carl's. They have a good head mod. I should be getting mine back any time soon. 208-850-5550

Love it!

Had it out on two rides now, and I love it. Started up first pull everytime, no issues at any elevation. The only thing I dont like so far is how easily it heats up compared to the other Dragons I am riding with. I am riding in the same snow they are, and the temp always seems to climb faster than the rest of them. Gets annoying when I have to stop twice as often on the way up in crappy snow. Once in good snow though, runs like a champ and I couldnt be happier. Wish I could ride it every day.

I put a day on my new 2010 assault and I was very happy with it. Zero issues and it pulled 8000-8200 rpm all day long. No hickups or bogs either.

Have only had mine out twice -- both on short, break in road rides. No problems whatsoever. If it would just snow!!!

I guess I got the sled with the bog. Mine had a bad mid range stumble. Only burned up 1/2 tank before I rolled the sled because it stumbled/bogged really bad when I needed it to pull. Before riding I put on the full SLP exhaust and intake kit as well as plugged the exhaust valves. Was going back to the trailer to hook the exh. valves back up & see if that helped when I wrecked. Sled is OK but I was hurting so I just loaded up and went home.

Was pulling 8250 RPM even though I never held the throttle open for more than a second or two. Peak track speed I saw was 56mph and highest temp was 133*.

Maybe it's just me, but the majority of complaints I am hearing about the 2010 or updated '08's and '09's seem to have some form of modification ie. pipes, porting, reeds, plugged exhaust valves etc. It may be that the new map, pistons and head don't lend themselves to modifications yet.

Just thinking out loud I guess.

Thats the reason I haven't installed my pipe and can yet. I want to get a few rides on it and make sure all stays well before the mods start coming. At least if a runability issue arises, I'll have an idea what may be causing it. Hopefully I'll just end up with an even better running sled.

Kurt at Fastrax also has a good head mod for your stock heads. I'll be putting it on the week & trying it out on satuday.

Sound's like they are holding together so far. I was dead set on a new M8 but can get a 163 Dragon for a grand less:rolleyes::rolleyes: Are the track's as bad as I read about?

well, went out yesterday for the first ride, and snow sucked, and only went a grand 8 miles. Did notice a little stumble here and there, but only for a time or two after holding low to mid rpm. the conditions didn't allow for WOT. As for heat, I'm coming off a REV 800, so this thing runs cold compared to that. I think it ran around 120, awsome concidering the snow, or lack there of.
