gunna buy new 07 apex got a few ?'s

Whats the diffrence if any between the 06's and 07's? Also looking at getting either a stage 1 or 2 MPI SC, for the way we ride and the snow we have a SC would be a better choice. Ive heard that there were some problems with the stage 2 is this correct? does the stage 1 have any issues? Is the fueling finnaky? Gunna try the 4 stroke game i guess and just wanting some info, thanks guys!

why are you buying a new apex theres lots of awsome used 07 apexs for sale right now with every one jumping on the nytro . you could save youre self alot of coin and headaches

The only differences i know are the fox floats wernt available on the 06 and the 06 had a switchblade key. Some say the ecu is better on the 07 better mapping I guess. I would look for the 07 se and like rednytro said don't overlook used I found mine with 129 miles and 3 grand under retail

brand new 07 apex mtn in the crate for $6500, been looking for used but they are all in the 14K range for what im looking to do to it.

Turbo or SC doesnt matter to me but would prefer a SC mainly based for how we ride and the terrain and snow we get here in cali, wet and heavy!

Yeah thats kinda what I thought too! Plus they are an mpi dealer and are willing to give me a deal on a SC as well!!! No one around my area has anything fast (except me of course!) so they want to help me out and try to promote this thing!!!

power or reliability?

I know the SC wont outpull the turbos on the hills, but I seen an MPI rx1 here and it would run and hide from any other sled around here. Im more concerned about reliability at this point than all out power.


A stage 1 230/240 hp setup at altitude is a bunch for our sierra cement!

Well Theres a new apex mtn sitting in my shop! With the heavy snow we have here in cali I think the supercharge is the way to go along with the fact that we dont have the hills like alot of you guys do up north, and east! Probably gunna go with the MPI stage 1 charger at 10lbs 50/50, at 5K and up!

Is there anything I should know about this kit for the apex? MPI uses their own EFI box correct? What about clutching? I know my way around a sled but this is my first yammi so all info appriciated!

From a dealer that wants to get rid of it! Red apex mtn 162! Plus they sold it to me at this price if I promised to boost it, they really had to twist my arm on that part!


It was their last one but the weird part is they have been selling alot of the phazers and nytros but couldnt get rid of the apex??? Already rode it and runs perfect! Just need to boost it!

took it out agin, about 4' of fresh wet heavy sierra cement, totally blown away by this sled!!!! extremely nimble and fun!!! Havent boosted it yet but even stock has the power to go places that could get people in trouble!!! As for the weight, im only about 155 lbs and I can throw this thing around like its under 500 lbs, the extra weight is totally offset by the awesome geometry of this chassis. In a drag race it would pull my proxr 800 with slp twins to about 40 on the groomed trail then the 800 with the 121 would get it on the big end. All in all im extremely impressed so far with this sled and once I get some boost to it it will be awesome!!!! Cant wait!!!
