Yup, cuz Obama has been leading this country for 4 years and you've definitely lost your gun rights. What is the point of holding on to stupid stereotypes that are not even true? Do you just enjoy hearing yourself talk/type or do you actually believe the drivel that spews forth from your mouth?
from what i remember they already tried once but the supreme court voted no. from what i read it was a close 5-4 vote and supposedly some of those judges are up for replacement soon so Obama could put a couple more anti-gun nutjobs in there then we'd be fooked.
also, i don't know if its his doing or not but gun and ammo prices shore shot up after he was first elected.

who benefits from higher ammunition prices? was there a tax increase? or are manufacturers the sole benefit of paranoia generated by anti obama voters?
i dunno who benefited from the higher prices, hence the part where i said "i don't know if its his doing or not." just stating an observation.
An increase in demand equals an increase in price. Simple economics. The first time he was elected everyone ran to get guns too.

he was talking about banning them during one of the debates, that's when i decided i better scrape up some money and go grab one. glad i did to, went with a buddy to get one a few days after the election and every where was pretty much sold out buddy ended up with an AK instead.
I just spent some time researching Obama's stance, not sure about the AR specifically, but it did say he wanted to ban assault rifles. Would an AR fall into that category?
Given where he is from(Chicago) I can understand why he would want to limit guns, but I would have to agree he is in the wrong to try to remove assault rifles from the market.
Regardless he is not removing your gun rights. Your not allowed to have a tank are you? Is that interference with your second amendment rights?

yes. When you are from a big city you typically don't hunt and you see much more violence related to guns. When I hear the word gun I think of hunting. When people from bigger cities think of guns they think of protection/violence.
I figured if your allowed to make blanket statements like "the government is taking away my guns!!1!11!!!!!!" I was allowed to make blanket statements about big cities.
it don't matter whether your from the sticks or the big citys, guns do not kill people or cause violence so there is nothing to understand about being from chicago as far as a reason for taking guns away. seems the anti-gunners don't realise guns don't fire themselves, and that probably 99% of those crimes involving guns are most likely not done with legaly purchased weapons so even if the nutjobs do get them banned its not gonna stop crime. if anything i could see crime increasing cuz right now before some low life goes busting into someone's home there's that thought that the homeowner may be one of us crazy rednecks with a gun next to the bed, take that away what do the criminals have to fear? a possible *** whoopin?

Drugs are outlawed...do criminals still use them? Every day! All a law does is keep the average joe, law abiding citizen from doing it. Criminals will always be criminals. And like Vern said, most guns used for violence were not purchased legally anyway. Gun control will only make sure that the victims are unarmed and easy targets.
