Gun ban! what would you do?

Hypothetical situation.
Just say that next month there is a bill introduced and passes to register all guns in the US.
From England and Australia's example, the next step would be confiscation.
How would you handle the situation?
Most would say something like "they will take it from my cold dead hands"
I believe very few in this day and age would be willing to go as far as to take a life to keep their gun.
Are any of you prepared and willing to take that step?
If a govt. rep. knocked on your door and said where is your gun? What would you do at that exact moment? Make up a story? Turn it over. Actually pull the trigger?
Please give it some thought and answer honestly! This actually could happen!

How far will gun ban legislation have to go before people actually do something about it?

i'd be going to hell for slaying many many many of gods children.

And I mean that  I would take as many lives as I had to.

Sorta like Mag, most of the guns I have came from private sales or gifts from my grandad. Only one is registered. Was thinking about this today in fact as I was driving back in from shooting. The new xd would be turned in, Butthe big hand guns would be around still.

They aren't getting one of my fu(king guns....registered or not. PCDOC....what if you hid your registered guns and then you were made a criminal for not giving them your registered guns? I will have guns nearby to do what I have to do if necessary.

Nate.
Is any gun bought at a retail store basically registered? Is there is a record of it being bought that could be traced at a later date?

ATF can get into store records and trace all FFL transactions. So yes and no. yes if they put forth the effort and tracked down all of the firearm purchases through each store. And no because its not an automatic thing. Although I am not 100% sure what FFL does as for filing when you call them and they run your backround. They could have a whole system data base in storing information based on your SS# and your Drivers License #. They could tell you 1 thing and do another. Best place to buy firearms is without a doubt garage sales.

I know right now if you buy over 3 guns at a time the FBI gets a red flag and you pop up on the big screen. So...purchase 1 at a time if you can :o

I would let them have the one that was registered under a title 3 and the rest i sold threw craigslist, news paper and so on due to hard economic times. Or i would leave town and have someone trow a rock threw my window and sense i keep no serial numbers cant tell them what guns were stolen other than a basic description and will have the police report to prove it . These are all hypothetical answers and i would never do such a thing just trowing a few answers out there. there will be a time to fight but it wont be when your standing there alone, it will be when your bothers in arms are next to you. just my thoughts.

I sold all my guns as there is no need for them anymore as the great one will care and protect us all....................:p:p

Bring body bags.
LOTS and LOTS of body bags.
The second amendment was put in specifically to allow the citizens to protect themselves from the very people that would be coming to take your guns in the first place.

I sold them, is what I would say.

BTW think of this. If the did start collecting guns and rifles. I would think there would be a daisy chain of stuff to happen.

First states wouldn't need the DNR anymore correct?

Second, the states would lose TONS of money that hunting licenses bring in and so other stuff like trails and other things that money goes to would soon take a crap.

Then since no one can hunt, wouldn't you think the population of deer and other animals would soon start to rise in a fast rate? And then start killing people when they smoke them on the road?

Then the insurance rates would go up as the insurance claims for them accidents would be the cause.

I don't know I think they would have a tough time with this. Guns play a big role in the US, for many reasons.

I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat. It is our right to own guns. If everybody caves on something like this, what would be the next thing in the constitution that they would erase

Mandatory registration is what they pulled in Canada. Of coarse 70% of the guns did not get registered, so they keep extending the deadlines for mandatory registration hoping they can get it to their magic numbers. Openly the people who did not register their firearms signed a petition with their names and addresses saying they where willing to go to jail before they would give up their firearms. But bottom line is you guys should never register any firearms, if you have been doing so...... for your own good stop doing it. And those guns you have registered phone in and report them stolen. If every gun that has been registered is reported stolen they will get the hint.
