Guess what I see? YAY!

My blond girlfriend(in my mind)Crystal on Fox says 4-12" for the eastern mountains later today and tonight...so you east-slopers better keep us up to date! :D

I was listening to the Weather radio on the way in to work. They are calling for 6-16" inches. Tonight through Wed night from 6500 Feet and up. I dunno 16"'s sounds pretty daRn tempting. Wonder if I should take a drive up to netherland or estes. Maybe head out CR 14 and see what if I can find some white stuff to kick around in?
Will have to watch the weather.

You do realize that they are called the "Rockies" for a reason, right?

Yep... I understand. Luckily it is suppose to be around 6500 feet and last I check that was below the tree line about 4300 feet below the tree line. And if I don't see that a ride is worth the trouble no worries, I took a nice drive. But If I do. Well then it paid off.
If you lived with in an hour of 16"s of snow wouldn't you take a drive on the off chance that you get to ride?

With 3' of base, yes. The first real storm of the year, hell no. I'd be taking my jeep to play in the snow.

The same answer I give the people that come out skiing and complain about the rocks on the slopes.

We had over a foot at my house in Conifer (8400ft). but melting too fast.....nothing is even stickingg to the roads, and it's already down to a few inches of slush in the woods. Maybe up higher elevation it's sticking around longer.....but doubt it.
