That's a great idea using flexible plastic like that. I've been looking for an easy and inexpensive way to build a gauge cage for my M7 (I can't see it at all with my 2" handlebar riser). How is the stability of yours? Does it flop or wiggle around while you're riding at all?
Ha! Looks like someone is one milk jug short in the recycling bin! Whatever works I guess.
Here's some pics of mine. I cnc these from .080 AL, then powdercoat 'em.
They have breathable mesh already installed on it, so no hassle.
Stainless hardware and detailed instructions included.
Mounting holes stay close to the dash hole, and the tilt is adjustable.
I have different cradles for the SP or standard gauges
specifically designed for each. Not rigged up angle brackets.
