Stingray, get a sense of humor. I am probably way older than you and can tell you a sense of humor is not a bad thing.
Was killed about 40 miles north of here on the highway, logger in hit in in his truck. Guess the truck was a mess. The bear is being mounted or may be finished and is on display at the USFS office in Lincoln, MT.
And I think the bear would win if he came into contact with a sled... sled might get the first hit in but it'd be over after that...
Glad to see most of you have a sense of humor. Afterall, forums are a form of entertainment for all of us. Yes, mtn climber said it right, if indeed a griz and a snowmobile met one on one, the sled would be shredded no doubt. Even though it would be a very sleepy griz this time of year.

actually a friend was late fall moose hunting up by fairbanks years agoo....it snowed 14-16 inches (3 and 4- wheelers getting stuck every where) so they brought out the sleds...was going over to another cabin for dinner one night on his sled(trails 8-10 ft wide cut thru heavy woods) ...comes around a corner and here comes momma griz full tilt at him...layed down behind the winsheild and floored the throttle...momma went right over the hood and him....he never let off till he hit the next camp.....about 8 of them come back in daylight and you could see by the tracks where he hit her..she tore the **** out of the area after she landed....(she scared the bejesuits out of my buddy..he had the shakes for about 2 hrs after )...left 1 set of scratch marks from 1 paw on his hood..he wore those as a badge of honor...lol

this happened over 20 yrs ago... and he had no choice..narrow trail/charging bear...his only other choice was to try and get a pistol out and shoot her(a lose for bear and man since she was moving way too fast for him to get it out...
