Grippers with shapers or Curve XSM skis?

I have a 2011 SBA and live in the northeast so I do have to trail ride so is anyone running these or run both? From what I've read the curves are a little better just don't want to spend $400 for a test. I know the grippers are a little cheaper but are the curves worth the extra dough with or without the thrusters?Also if I went with the grippers do I have to change the rubber spacer under the ski ? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance

I tried curves for one ride and took them off. I hated the handling in powder compared to a gripper. I did not try them on a trail.

I am leaning toward the grippers since everyone likes them. Thanks for the input with the cost of skis I don't want to waste the money
