I have the stock side-hiller ski's on my 05 900 and was wondering if the Gripper's bolt right on. Does anybody know if they do??:beer;

YES!!! DO IT...IMO these are the BEST all around skis for the 900...they will bolt perfect, just make sure you have all the washers/spacers with the new skis..i went from sidehiller 2s to the grippers last year...THEY ROCK!!

They bolt right on and they work well also.

Agreed with both statements, although I havent rode them with my 900...i have rode with them on an Assault and 08 RMK. Thought the floated well, handled well, steering effort was really nice, and they arent that bad on the trail (when you have to use it)...

depends on your type if riding, snow conditions..

i ride alot of trail and get into teh pow whenever i see it, or get it..

IMO, i would go with grippers...plus you cant get them pretty cheap used, and i think they are the best all around ski around..but others may differ..

Thanks. I talked with my dealer and they have them in stock. About $300 for brand new set. I tore the front apart this afternoon, broken lower a-arm busted shock. Just looking at the motor quickly I found the intake boots are getting dry rotted (showing cracks) and a few othe minor things. I'm doing the radiator delete and cooling vents while I'm at it. Lot's of work but its fun to learn the set-up of the sled. Snow on the mountains in Anchorage!!!!:beer;

I got my set for my 06 Dragon with mounting kit and carbides for $225 new from my dealership.

I haven't shopped around yet and that price was with all the hardware, bolts, spacers washers and nuts which is why I was asking the question do they bolt right up. Now I know I won't have to buy everything and I think they included the labor which I am doing myself so knock off $100. The worst thing about Alaska is the shipping. If they use UPS or Fedex it is exspensive. And it all comes here on the same plane no matter what you ship it up, gound, air, next-day. I have time to slow boat it up here if I need to.

Props to you for supporting your local dealer. Dealerships like Babbits should have there franchise rights revoked for selling parts below MSRP. When you call on your local dealer for a price on a part and then go online and check places like Babbits and the price is almost always cheaper it makes the local dealer look greedy. The manufactures set the MSRP not the dealers. If everyone bought their parts from places like Babbits we might not have a local dealer to support.

I will probably catch some crap for this but I dont really care.

Sorry, rant over.

I agree, I did check my dealer but they wanted 300 just for the skis. My dealer is not much help if you ask me. I wish I had a dealer I could trust with buying parts. I was told that gearing, changing to the 1115 belt, and getting rid of the radiator is just going to mess up my sled. I'm also a broke collage student so I like to save money when I can.

Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with keeping your dealer honest. But I can tell you for a fact that Babbits undercuts every dealer that is selling at MSRP. It is absolute bull$hit that they get away with it. Every part that they sell is so close to dealer cost its a wonder they can stay in buisness.

Yeah I can already here the argument its because they sell in volume. They pay the same as every other dealer for their parts, they just choose to sell below MSRP.

I can get you them complete...if you need them..I can beat the dealers price but not babbits...

My dealer has been good to work with however I wouldn't be a very smart consumer to not check out all my options. Like I said before the cost of shipping usually equals the difference in price the dealer charges. I had an issue with something I bought for my vehicle on-line from a reputable outfit which turned out to be the wrong part and I had to ship it back at my cost to get a refund (their policy). So it would have been cheaper to buy it locally in the long run. If I got the wrong part from my dealer up here I can drive 5 miles to swap it or get a refund a lot cheaper than the cost of shipping and time waiting for the parts. I don't mind paying a few bucks more and supporting my local dealers because it saves time. A sled sitting in the garage during an excellent riding day because I'm cheap??? I'm in this for the ride not to save money!
