Grip Glue

Dirt bikes do not have heaters under them. Traditional glues will breakdown when hot, but our doesn't

I was more commenting that perhaps he doesn't need to use glue....perhaps he does, I've never had to put grips on a sled but my thinking was that if they are as damn tight to get on as bike grips, then safety wire should keep them put fine.

All the details that I posted above are thrown out the window if you overinflate the grip and baloon it out... they just wont hold when they are stretched that much... in that case where you overinflated and stretched it out.... you would have to use glue to get it to stay put.

RSI's glue stays put under high heat and is easy to mix/apply.

I've tried their wrap grips and their tacky grips and I prefer the Tacky grips.
The RSI carbon bars on my last sled were top notch.

On the extended heaters... the extension "T" goes on from the bottom of the hook, not over the top

.

the RSI instructions say to install with wires facing up and come together on the bottom of the handlebar. Are you saying to start on the bottom? Does it work better one way or the other? I guess I was going to start from the bottom til I read the directions:face-icon-small-dis

They have to go on from the top, there are curved "fingers" on them that would not match the contour of the hook if you put them on from the bottom.

I just installed mine a couple weeks ago and they go on from the top and would not fit any other way.

When in doubt contact these guys.... there is no better customer service that I've found. I had an issue with a bar pad last year and they came to me with the offer of a replacment at there cost even though I had hack the other one up trying to make it fit and threw it away.

If they make a part I need I will always get it from them.

i followed mountainhorse's suggestions and i must say that the low pressure air nozzle trick is very nice to say the least! I found it much easier with an extra set of hands. Have someone run the air nozzle in the opposite side you are trying to install. Excellent thread!
