Greystokes

Yup, Great snow this weekend ! Rode friday and sunday.

Deepest I found was behind Moore mtn, an honest 3 feet. Was awesome being the first ones in there, picking a trail from Lindon lk to the top was super fun ! I dont know where everyone was, parking lot was half full and didnt see a person in all the meadows, tree's all day. Was there a trail ride poker run ? lol

Lok long, st marg, jubilee, burn, moore etc etc but I never found this 4 feet;)

Base is good, just needs more coverage for the boulders.

Didnt see a groomer sunday.

Hope you didn't hit anything. I wasn't that brave about getting too far off the trails yet. Did that last year and it cost me $600. Also, I was only with the wife this ride and she's not much help when we get stuck.
The snowmobile club had their annual Chili/Christmas Toy Run on Sunday. Thus all the trucks in the lot. I didn't make it up but heard it was pretty good.

was up on sunday.went north of katrine and was an honest 3'.lots of slush on the lakes and the creeks are mixed with some open and others just waiting for some fool to get sucked in. we managed to avoid the hidden dangers until my son found a rut and a rock on the nytro. the impact broke the left spindle but no other damage as far as we could see. we managed to mcgiver it using rope and the shovel handle and limp back about 30 km's to the truck. glad to get on the trailer and out of there.

Beat ya, 665.00 tax incl for my damage LOL.

Was worth it to finally get out into the pow. (Well, I say that to make my empty pocket feel better):D

Gotta be some good new snow up there the past week.

Anyone go recently ?

Went today for my first breakin ride on my new 09 D800.Lots of people out ,was a little chilly. My 16yr old son was whining a bit, warmed him up at the main chalet.Rode from there to loch long then to Margarets up thru the Burn to the Hilton.Had lunch there then down Linden back to the main chalet, where it was nice and warm.Just not enough snow yet and no base. I was going to go again on sat but I think I will pass and take my Rhino out.Not into bending my new sled and riding the trails Blows.Off to Mexico for 3weeks after Xmas so will wait till I get back, should be safe by then.Watch out for stumps and rocks:eek:

Today Jan 1st.2009.
Anyone been up lately? I've been checking the grooming report and it appears that no grooming has been done since the 20th of Dec. If that's the case I'm sure the trail up will be brutal! Any feedback on conditions?
Thanks. :beer;

rode with wife and kids on Dec 31. Fresh groom with first tracks.....it was acutally pretty fun.
But at days end I couldn't beleive it........bumpy again with minimal traffic. Too many throttle heros make it bumpy real fast.
Safe sleddin'
RS

rode jan.1. went up steve's trail and it wasn't too bad. no major bumps but flat light.came down main trail and pretty chewed up but didn't kill us. we do need some grooming as there is lots of snow. snow actually is as deep as i have seen it up there. i had times when my apex would not go forward and stop. this is my 4th year on this sled and i finally found its limit. we need some base. be carefull out there in these conditions and be prepared. we don't need anymore stats to add to what we already have.
