Greenwater ride to WJ?

Anyone know the conditions of greenwater? Trying to ride to whistlin jacks tomorrow. Curious to see where we stand. (road conditions, trail conditions, etc)

Saturday the 12th...

we rode Greenwater last saturday...

The gate was closed at the start of the matterhorn, with the snowpark there...

the road had been mostly plowed, but not to pavement... maybe 1-2" of loose on the ice...

scratchers for sure... & watch the corners... 'drifting'..!!..

we rode up & over the top & down, then hit the Little Natches road... groomed & LOTS of snow...

For a BUSY saturday... the trails were groomed well...

We did it yesterday for the game. Its getting bumped out but the road was great. Ice hill is getting slick so stay on the gas.

Went over the top to our cabin right down the road from Whistles (WJ's) this past weekend. Great ride, yes parts of the roads are getting bumped out. Little Naches Road is in great condition. Trials have plenty of snow and yes halfway up Ice Hill, it gets a little slick. There is a bypass trail to the left halfway up Ice Hill. a few miles down the line I would recommend staying to the left on Little Ice Hill (crossover between pine and spring creek roads) as it is also sketch in some places. Made it over to Jacks, it did take us almost 4 hours due to the fact that our buddy decided to hit a curve at 80 and lost his sled over an embankment into some trees.

Holy smokes where did this crash happen? On the west side or east side of government meadows.

How long does the ride usually take? Thinking of doing this with a beginner rider. I'm assuming its groomed the whole way? I'll be coming from WJ to GW and back.

And pardon my noobness but what snow park do I park at on this side?

This happened just above WJ's. We are calling it a "minor beer bump".

Those beer bumps are hard on stuff! I would trailer up little Naches and not bother with ice hill since you live on the right side! Save the newbie from the stress of out of control till the time is right.
