Greenwater report?

dunno - I have freinds that went up today so I will know and post tonite. " Staffordirt " was going to go up yesterday and clear the road as best as he could in a day. Haven't got an update on that.

I guess they got it opened up to the bridge before the long straight-away before the pavement ends. One lane but should be able to get to the end of the pavement now.

FS Plowing Update

Yes we got the road plowed one to two lanes wide all the way to the backside of the bypass, and plowed a turn around at the junction of the 7030 road.

The snow was so compact, it was a slow go. I spent 10 hours plowing yesterday, my buddy spent 3 hours today on it. The road is plowed 1 lane wide to the bridge, not clear on how it might be to get turned around there-the Puyallup indians were plowing in to stock more fish in the creek.
Be careful if you go up there in the next couple of days there is still some ice on the roadway on the backside of the bypass through the switch backs, how fast it was melting should b totally bare in the next few days, still passable now just be careful. I rode up to the cabin today while my buddy was plowing, not as bad as i thought it would be- still lots of snow and less whoops than I expected for no grooming.

If I was going up there I would go all the way to the 7030 road and unload there-we plowed the road wide enough that if everyone parks on the same side of the road should be quite a bit of room. Should be able to turn a 4 place around without problem, if your not an idiot and as long as no one parks in the turn around! If you are not sure you can still unload at the gravel pit and ride from there, no promises on how much pavement you might be riding on- we did it today.

The best part is that the matterhorn is bare asphalt! Have fun!

Thanks STAFFORDIRT. Plenty of turn around. Like you said just don't be an idiot. the only way to idiot proof something is to take the idoit out.

Thanks staffordirt for all the hard work an time you guys put in.Now is the turn around at the 7030rd or past it? And how much parking or riggs can you get down the rd from turn around before the rd get to tight ?If anyone was there today how many were up there ? With more traffic on rd /with warm temps. it will all be tracked out an down to all asphalt:D

First of all - THANKS Staffordirt. Secondly - there were two " idiots " that did park in the turn around , so we went to the bridge. Someone tried going past that and made it a couple hundred yards in , chained up pulling a two-place and got hi-centered. Glad it was them as I was pulling a 4-place enclosed and was planning on going to the end. However , I think the chains may have hampered them as it was crusty and should have been able to stay on top - maybe the chains caused them to dig down???

There were about 11 or 12 rigs that ended up paarked there and that was about all there was room for ( and a few had racks ). Glad we were there early.Snow was good up top - lots up there.

Stafford - did it take you by surprise how much snow was atop the by-pass??

Was melting on the road pretty fast when we came out at 6 tonite.

Thanks again for your efforts.

I was suprised how much snow was up there for this time of year, last year we plowed it in febuary, it was much easier it was not compacted like it was this time- was alot easier late in the day when it warmed up. I knew some idiot would end up parking there, no common courtesy for anyone else. Well sounds like it worked out ok today? Was the road still icy on the backside of the bypass?

Road was icey in the morning but it was a crusty ice so traction was fine. It was slush on top of ice-pack this afternoon. No problems though.I was the only 4-place enclosed to venture up there. Worked out good and was happy not to have to ride sleds over bare spots or the moguls to get where they have had the sno-park most of the season. I believe you spoke to a freind of mine , Randy , Friday up there. He was driving a red Dodge. It was you or your operator running it Friday. Later, Todd

Really good ridin today, unloaded at 6am .At the new sno-park at the 7030 intersection.Staffordirt did an awsome job plowing that road out.I think I'm going to put a sign at the turn around .(NO PARKING) So selfish people that only think of theselves won't park in the turn around.May it will read (Idots Only)but we all know they will park there. The road was crusty in the mornig but was melting fast by 2pm.I'm thinking with temps like this it might all be down to pavement by wed to the turn around an maybe the bridge I have pic's of today but will upload later .Also pic's of plowed road .....FRANTASTIC job!!!!!!!

When did the grooming stop? Holy ****ola!

Sunday
Road: No problem to the trurn around (7030 road), even 2-wheeler could make it. Its melting off quickly! Felt sorry for the dog in the back of the truck in the sun!

Riding: We must have had a dump after the grooming stopped, as the roads are all angled in some on Pyramid pass. Nothing even a beginner cant do... Lots of bumps and spring conditions,,as in slop. But hey, tons of snow and the sun is out!

Cabin sure is a dump! Pretty sad Bud lights....

Thanks for all you have done for everyone Staffordirt!!!! I wish everyone would the lead and clean up there $H*% in the cabin, so it is not just left up to the few that will.

Thanks. Is that what you're riding? You like it? I had an '07 M1000 and just ran a can on it. On this '09 I did the SLP pipe , BDX Intake, BD box and KOSO gauges. Once I got it dialed in I only open to hood to put oil in! Night and day from the '07. Most fun I've had on a sled in 15 years of riding. Going to gear it down a little this summer , and a couple other little things. May get a couple more rides in still thanks to your efforts !

Todd

Nice choice in sled TNTCOPP, how do you like yours?

Thanks

Staffordirt thanks alot for all the time and out of poket $ great job let me know if you ever need anything.

Your welcome!

I ride a 09 M8- stock with a can, want to do the slp pipe, porting etc. Love the sled.

Chop- I was hoping to go up in that kodiak and ride for a day with you guys..
