Graphite slides?

hi pretty new here and also to sledding.
Last year i bought a Mountain Max with a 159"
so going through the sled this year i found the slides were wore out.
went to the parts store and got gaphite slides and now all my sledding buddies say to take them back cause they WILL come apart.this has happened to a couple guys in the group.
What is your guys experience with this?

Mountain max 159,the skid has no idler wheels

never had a problem with them, may come apart from improper breakin, (your supposed to go through some hot and cold cylces with them) also i reccomend you throw some idlers on the curves of the rails that will save alot of wear and tear.
