Grand Lake Thursday...

Where are you picking up the trails? When we went last month it was hard on the sleds to ride from town because of the fairly long sections of mud/dirt to get onto the trail.

Trail to town closed a week or two ago.

We went up 2 weekends ago (3/30) and parked at Kaufman Creek, plenty of snow. Wish we had explored that area earlier this year...some real nice terrain off Kaufman and Little Gravel.

Pardon my ignorance, but what are these "trails" you speak of????

I thought snowmobiles were designed to take people "off the beaten path":face-icon-small-sho

Haha, well I just bought that short lug, short track Phazer in the picture for groomed trails (the snowmobile club grooms hundreds of miles of trails there..), and the Cmx is in the garage for "off the beaten path" rides... :boom:

Personally, I think both groomed trails and backwoods riding are just as fun. My girlfriend gets a little scared in avalanche territory, so she likes the groomed trails too..

Do you ride your 4x4 truck/SUV ever on a paved road or do you ride off road towing your sleds to get to the "off the beaten path" sled areas? :face-icon-small-win
