They range. Those two of dbook on the ZX chassis are 10 years old. How about mama and papa himark? I wonder how many of them billies are still riding today lol.

I have no idea if they are riding. I think Curt is. All 3 live in Washingtown now.

Let me get this straight, you were setting off slides and continued to ride/drop on the same slope?

Better smarten up before you become a statistic. Seeing that slide is your "get out of jail free" card to get out of there before something else rips out.

If you keep rolling the dice, eventually it'll catch up with you....

These photos seem very similar to the photos they use in case studies in avalanche courses where the slope had ripped and people continued to ride until something larger ripped on the same elevation/aspect/slope which killed them....

I have to admit....usually I call out dopes that ride on a slope the has slid. However, if you look at this one, the weak layer was not that deep with very little room to run. As Duke said it is a spot that he knew very well. There is a lot to be said for riding the same area a lot when it comes to avy awareness.

Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like it is maybe just the new snowfall. Perhaps a little more loaded right there in the middle.

Good to be safe Nads. I have respect for that. However, we weigh our risks at times, I have ridden (snowboard)a slope that you would think should have slid on a BLACK day (WHAT!!!!!?). I knew my slope and it was not black so not that crazy, really. Dug a pit and rolled-all good. Just like Duke knew his slope. However, if you feel you need to err on the side of caution Nads, then you should. I have also walked away from descents that would likely have been a safe and fun rip. just the right decision for me and my crew that day.

I personally feel Duke was safe on this small slope. Obviously, he did too.

Nice air! Nice pics Duke!

I'm just glad she didn't see some of the really dangerous stuff I do. Just last week I crushed a drive 300 yards right down the middle... in December mind you!
