got a new laptop at work.. but, now i cant see pics!!

OOT
try going to the "user CP menu, left top of screen, click on "Edit Options",
on that menu, scroll down to "Thread Display Options", go down to "Visible Post Elements", and see if "Show Images" box is checked.

Not 100% sure, but that might do it.

Train, I've had pics that caused a window to pop up that stated I needed to install a program,,java, adobe, etc. But it almost always gives you the option to automatically load the program:confused:. (Shane called me last night too,, said they have so much snow in west that they closed school yesterday.. Him & I still think it's because of idiots runnin' the town....INTO THE GROUND!!!!)

when I am at work we have a internet filter called "websense" you should all be so lucky.. it blocks youtube putfile etc etc..i read a lot posts and see no pictures until i go home and re-read them..

That sux.....

I have no filters, at school. can sit in class watchin **** if I wanted.:D

Could be a web filter banning things like photobucket.com and the like. Some are real easy to get around, if it's a DNS filter that forwards *.photobucket.com to localhost.... do a hostname lookup at home, copy the IP, and add it to your hosts file at work.

If it's a better filter, there's not much you can do to get around it if it's on the company's LAN. About all you can do is a web/VPN/SSH proxy/tunnel.... and that gets complicated. It's real nice though, I have that set up to use on crippled LANs (like the one I get at school), lets me tunnel through their crappy network and use the internet like I'm sitting in my living room.
