heard a good line of reasoning the other day! if so many peeps are worried about global warming and arctic/antarctic ice melting and sea levels rising, how come NO, not 1, coastal city is being told to relocate or evacuate. sure, it could be decades before new york/la/hong kong is under water, but if you were really that worried about it, wouldn't you want to start relocating right NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Newt is one of the smartest most articulate guys around and he's an asset to conservatives. I'm glad he didn't run for office because he's making a much much bigger impact doing what he is now.
I'm excited about this anti-global warming movie coming out made by an ex-liberal Irish couple. They spoke at CPAC. Today was the screening in Salt Lake. Also in LA and Seattle.
They want to make schools show this alongside Gore's idiot film that they are cramming down kids' throats. It proves Global Warming is a farce and shows the damage the belief in it does to our World.

I watched part of the hearings on CSPAN last night, I was waiting for Newt but just couldn't stomach watching Gore kiss azz with his buddies and dodge around the real questions from those who had some. He reported it will cost the average American .30/day if this bill goes through, but that was later found to be EPA's assessment after they figure in all the savings we'll see from going "green". The local news around here had a deal in the paper and the impact is said to be around a 40% increase for electricity costs in SD, that's on top of the 15% we just saw. What is the cost of living raise that some people get, isn't it like 3%?????
Some of the believers said that it'll create more jobs also, every time someone asked about how many jobs it will cost...... well, their time ran out.
And... we are apparently the only country that takes this "Global Warming" serious enough to tax companies for causing it.???/ Hmmm, wonder why that is??? But Gore and the old fart sitting next to him, said that once we jump on ship and pass this bill, then the other countries will follow and do the right thing.
My question on this bill would be..... What is taxing a business going to do to help stop this so called "Global Warming"?? How is the money you get from that going to seal the ozone back up or cool the oceans or reverse the effects???? The Government cannot buy whatever it takes to reverse what they claim is happening....... and if factories and plants all across this country get hit with a huge tax for their smokestacks, that will just be one more nail in the coffin for more jobs. And for those that do continue to operate and pay the ridiculous tax, it'll be the consumers that pay... I revert to my cost of living pay increase statement...

I can guarantee you Gore won't take part in Newt's invitation to discuss ideas at colleges/universities to debate the actual facts because he knows he made up the ones in his movie.

Michelle Malkin hit the nail on the head about the intolerance, bigotry and hatred on the Left, especially in colleges. They will not even slightly tolerate anyone who disagrees with them.

The public schools over in the UK tried to use Gore's film in their science class and tried to present it as scientific fact. A bunch of parents got together and sued. The parents won. The courts ordered that the schools could show the film but they had to present it as a movie and the school couldn't present it in any was as a scientific fact.
