I know the owners and they said there was only one person there and he was upstairs in the shower when the **** hit the fan and and the firemen found him in the basement, only had a broken hip or femer.

That sucks.
Broken hip or femur would be the reason for the airlift. When they break they can pinch your femural artery, which will obviously cause some problems (death).

I just read they found the injured guys dog in the wreckage. The dog was buried for nine days. Tough pooch!

Yes TinCup, they are rebuilding. They have the other lodge, the log structure on the same property that is fine. My friend is the one doing the independent fire investigation on it as well. He has spent alot of time on it.
