A friend called AD Boivin for some info today and was told by Mike Fontaine a long time employee that production would start back in2010. Hope true

Does 2010 means "ready for September of 2010" or "right now" ?

I wonder how much they're gonna retail for !

If snowmobiles can be made with a 550Fan and be sold for for $6K with the dealer making money, why can't these? The design and build of a Hawk looks alot simpler (less costly) than that of a sled.

The intial R&D costs would have already been amortized over the previously produced machines. Hawk owners have done the R&D for the minor changes that would be incorporated into a new one. I don't see the ability to establish a dealer network again after what happen to the dealers the last time, so they'd be sold factory direct.

Offer us a 550Fan with EFI and electronic reverse, factory direct for $5,999 and I'd send in my deposit today. Where's the new 600HO for $7,999, I've got my deposit ready for that one as well. With those prices it would be alot more likely that people would take the gamble of trying something new.

Mr Boivin are you listening??? What do you need, publicity to get the existance of this machine known. Give me one on the new machines for half price and I'll ride it through the streets of New York City during the next blizzard. I'm sure I'll get arressted, but the story will make headlines everywhere and the phone would be ringing off the hook from people wanting information about them.

I like those prices. But I bet they could sell them

550 ( F ) $ 6,999 U.S.
600 $ 8,999 U.S.
800 $ 10,599 U.S.

But I bet they would even be 30 % or more above what we have in mind.
The pricier they are , the less they will sell. = The less $ will mean the more they will sell with lower cost to manufacture.

Hope the Simmons Ski lawsuit doesn't hold up any production issues.

Simmons vs. BRP was won by Simmons and ADB is using a scaled up version of the same ski. So there may be a little problem for ADB.
