Everyone manages to jump on forums to bash dealers. From snowmobile to automobile, the dealer always gets trashed.
I thought I should post a good dealer experience.
Saturday March 8th I went to East Barrier Lake, with 3 other people, for a weekend ride (about 5 hrs from home). We got up early Saturday for day 1. It was a blue bird day. Not a cloud in the sky. We drove to the riding area to meet another 3 people. We unload and head up the trail.
At about mile 20, the Dragon, I borrowed from a friend, quits. It would restart but die as soon as the throttle was touched. I am not a Polaris guy so checked for spark. It was weak but there. I assume it's the fuel filter. Well, we tow it back to the truck and push it back up onto the deck (what fun).
We drop the other truck and sleds at the cabin and drive to Kamloops (1:30 away) hoping to get a fuel filter at the dealer. We phone, as soon as we get cell service, to check stock on the filter. They have the filter but service is booked up and can't change it for me.
We arrive at the dealer and ask the service manager if a mechanic can just check if we are on the right track. When he heard we are from out of town he pulled a mechanic off a job and took the Dragon right in. The bad news: it's the typical Polaris voltage regulator failure. Failed regulator burnt up the ECU. They had the parts in stock and had us up and running in about 1:30.
Thank you SCHULTZ MOTORSPORTS of Kamloops and Shane.
