Good DC Source for KOSO EGT

What should I splice into for a good DC power source for a handlebar mount? Are the handwarmers DC? Thanks.

did yours come with small black box? this is a rectifier and you can tap in to the yellow and brown wire looped at the base of your steering post.

Doesn't look like it did. Is this what I need(http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062582#)? How the hell do I hook it up?

They used to come with the rectifyer and instructions...poor instructions but they did at least make reference to it!

So from what I was just told the rectifier is now built into the gauge... Guess I will find out soon enough .

just installed mine last weekend directions call for 12 volt DC and the king cat is all 12 volt AC (at least everywhere i checked) so got the rectifier from radio shack and hopefully that does the trick. fingers crossed because its headed to cooke this weekend

the Koso EGTs we have used on our sleds have worked fine plugged into the accessory lead by the steering gate on both DC and AC models.

The KOSO A/F gauge now that another story they don't work well on a Cat no matter what you do.
