FYI I bought this camera and it says its the 1080P camer but what came was the old HD. Just FYI look at what you get sent by anybody. Sending this one back.

ya i would think so. Unless they just screwed up but i kinda think not. Those cameras were $250 when they first came out so the $137 Price tag was very attractive. Maybe they are just hoping that people wont notice its not the 1080 but i am sure their excuse will be oh sorry we must have shipped the wrong one.

Mine was the 1080P version, but it was through steep N cheap.

I'm thinking it's a mistake. The pics clearly show a 1080P camera. I bet they will swap it out. Just might cost you a little fuel unless you can talk them into free return shipping. I too by most of my stuff off Steep and Cheap but they are all the same company. Good Luck!

Well at least their return policy is good. Full refund except for shipping back to them. I think I might now just get the GPS or ROAM anyway.

So, could you realistically use it as a camcorder? If you hook it to a lap top can you see what you are recording or is that just for download/setting change?

cannot see in real time on your computer...once plugged in it operates more like an external driver

The Contour GPS has bluetooth and you can now use your phone as a viewscreen to see in real time what you are shooting. And review what you have shot. Very cool.
I'm sure the Contour+ has this feature as well
