Gonna build my own turbo kit need help

M7 had bdx lite drive, and I think thats stronger then the M8s with reverse? Reverse is nice but for the hassle of selling his sled, and buying another I dont see him being that far ahead. All support for M8 is basically the same for M7 with bigbore...
Also a member (ippie) found out that the part numbers for the m1000 reeds double stacked will also work in the M7...

Not arguing one is better then the other, but build what you have... putting a kit together yourself will cost about the same as buying, but you will have spare parts and a better know how of the system.

Yep, I found that cross referencing numbers and going off previous experience I others that the numbers cross from the 2004 f7's have same part number for reeds as the 2006 m7's, and the 06 m7 has same part number for reeds as the 2009 m8, and then lots of folks run the m1 reeds on the m8's. Also the m5's run the same reeds as the m1000, who knew.

I also agree building your own is very much more rewarding and gets you a great self satisfaction when you pull the throttle open. Money can buy you whatever, but it doesn't mean you understand what everything does, and why you have that. If you do it yourself you know damn well it's done right and where you put things. Plus it's fun to fabricate and work on sleds. I think anyways. It's a plus he can tig weld which has a lot going for him. He lives relatively close to me as well.
